Omega CDC is thrilled to have received a 21st Century grant from the Ohio Department of Education to provide after school programming for students attending Fairview PreK-6 School @ Fairview Commons. The program brings exciting added learning activities, arts, sports or recreation, and youth development activities for students. Our goal is to increase reading and math scores as well as performance on other subjects for students as well as help students build strengths that will lead to success in all aspects of life.
We also want students to attend school regularly and have a positive sense of their own potential. Dayton Public Schools is our partner in this program. In addition, a national program Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL) is a partner—bringing help and expertise to serve our children. We also have local community partners that will provide opportunities for arts, sports, and fun. Our goal is to increase learning through interactive instruction and fun activities.
We are looking for volunteers to provide support to students attending the after school programs located at the Fairview School site. For more information about the volunteer opportunity, please call or text Ms. Silvia @ (937) 701-7581 or sign-up @ http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080a48afa82cabfd0-scholars
